Mark Norwood. Head Nurse & CEO: I am a TRAUMA NURSE Now disabled with a Neuromuscular Disease,
My deep Christian beliefs and faith now lead me to believe that the lord
still has a purpose for me here on this Earth. With
what time I have left, I am devoting to helping those who cannot Find
-or access Medical Information, on their Medical condition, via Library or
the internet, Because of the inability to afford the time it takes for
Doctors to explain the situation to the Patients, or the inability to
understand what they have read due to the complexity of Medical
Terminology, I have built these two sites to help in those areas of
understanding. MED-HELP.COM & MED-HELP.NET's purpose, is to be
there and help by taking the time to look up this information - &
present it to the Patients, or point them in the right direction to help
them find it. MED-HELP.COM & MED-HELP.NET (does not)
take the place, or
intend - to take the place of your own Doctors opinion or any others. If
an opinion is asked for, It will be given with extreme precision, &
with the most current information & experience available. All medical
advice is medically correct & sound. But in no way are we trying to
take the place of your family Doctor or Physician. We are Licensed (Nurses
Doctors & Medics) & Part of our function
is to Teach and help Via our Training- and knowledge that we have acquired. All
Nurses & Doctors on this site resume there own responsibility as to the content of
there Ask the Nurse, or Ask The Doctor, Email or A/V conferencing replies. MED-HELP.COM
WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. But in saying that, I can
assure you that most all email, is checked by @ least 2 Nurses before
being replied to, as far as to the accuracy, and to there content &
suggestions. This site has also been Approved by HON: the- (Health On
The Net Foundation)
Thank You and may the Lord Bless You Richly.

Doctor Erich D Ryll. M.D. Internal Medicine & Infectious Disease. MED-HELP.COM & MED-HELP.NET ERICH D. RYLL,
M.D. About My History & Treatment of Patients With: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Fibromyalgia/CFIDS/IVN In the spring and summer of 1975, there was a major, severe epidemic of a communicable, apparent viral disease at the Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael, a suburb of Sacramento, California. It occurred in February, and the bulk of the disease happened between July and November of 1975. Cases continued to occur, although few, until 1978 The epidemic involved all departments of the hospital. It was equally severe in all departments. I was appointed chairmen of a committee to investigate the outbreak. At the time, I feared that there might be fatalities and so Asked that the CDC (Communicable Disease Center, Atlanta, Georgia) become involved. An epidemiologist fro there spent a week at the hospital. Another epidemiologist from the State came for the day. Cultures were obtained for all known viruses, bacteria, and rickettsiae, and all were negative. The disease was apparently due to a new agent of disease. At the time, we did a literature search and found three reports of outbreaks that were called EPIDERMIC PHLEBODYNIA (meaning painful veins). While the disease at Mercy San Juan was somewhat similar, it included many more features that were subscribed in epidermic phlebodynia and so at the time, I believed it was not the same disease. Later , additional literature search showed that the disease was very similar to epidermic neuromyasthenia/ myalgic encephalomyelitis. But troublingly, very few if any, vascular features were mentioned. Since the very beginning, I have followed these patients on a virtual daily now for 23 years. This continuous observation and study is perhaps the longest interval that anyone has ever studied such an disease. I have, throughout the years, learned all the nuances of the disease. Because the symptoms are so many and often seemingly bizarre, I often attempted to disclaim them as being real. But I learned that the patience were always right and that I had to have an open mind. This disease is humbling. One must remember what a famous French physician said a year ago, Jean Martin Charcot: http://www.med-help.com
