Can Medicine Man Tea Work For You?

Medicine Man Tea originated in Canada, the recipe reportedly passed down through the Ojibwa Indians. Over the years, this recipe has become known world wide, as have many Native American traditional herbal preparations. Medicine Man Tea is said to have extensive health benefits for those that use it regularly.

For many years, it has been used as an alternative treatment for cancer patients, and has been reported to make traditional cancer treatments easier to endure. Medicine Man Tea is commonly used to provide relief for a wide variety of other health issues and diseases, and is easily available to the many users that swear by its medicinal qualities.

The origins of Medicine Man Tea are the center of a well-known story in the world of alternative medicine. As the story goes, it was brought to the knowledge of the public more than seventy years ago by a Canadian nurse named Rene Caisse. She is said to have gotten the recipe through a patient, an Indian woman who had once suffered from breast cancer.

The woman had been diagnosed by a conventional physician, and referred to a surgeon to have the tumor removed, but had chosen to speak to her tribal medicine man about her situation before following that advice. The Ojibwa medicine man treated her with herbal tea, and according to the story, her disease disappeared with its use, never to return. She went on to live thirty years beyond the point of the initial diagnosis.

According to the popular story, Rene Caisse went on to use that same Medicine Man Tea in her Canadian Clinic to treat cancer patients, calling it Essiac tea, with remarkable results. While these claims of cancer cures are largely unsubstantiated clinically, Essiac tea is still used as an alternative cancer treatment and for the relief of a variety of other ailments today.
