Lyrica may also cause severe allergic reactions. Some other allergic reactions to using Lyrica may include an inability to breathe properly, getting a rash, blisters and/or hives.

Patients taking Lyrica have a greater chance of experiencing swelling and hives, if they are taking angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. Patients taking ACE inhibitors should inform their doctors that they are taking specific medications before taking Lyrica.
